"La Pergola is an Italian restaurant located in La Cala, a small town in the Costa del Sol region of Spain. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a rustic interior and a friendly staff. I ordered the filled steak and the goats cheese and honey salad. The filled steak was cooked to perfection and was excellent. The goats cheese and honey salad was also delicious. The service at La Pergola was also excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He also made several recommendations, all of which we enjoyed. We were also served complimentary Lemonchello at the end of the meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at La Pergola. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others."

"La Pergola is a Italian restaurant right next to the mimosa beach club. It looks really inviting from outside as you approach it with its large glass walls and colourful crockery on the laid tablecloths. We had a table for 6 and had wine, drinks, starters and a main meal each. I started with pil pil prawns which were delicious. The waiter asked if I would like bread with it which I did. I shouldn’t have done as it already came with focaccia. My fellow diners enjoyed soup, bruschetta. Frankly there was enough for us all to have shared 3 starter dishes. Mains consisted of fillet steak, sea bass etc. everything was very tasty and plentiful. They even provided some live music to serenade everyone. Highly recommended if you fancy something upmarket for a night out."

"A fantastic little restaurant, top class service and food. The portions here are more than generous, fantastic quality of food. All our dishes were flavoured and seasoned delightfully we had no faults whatsoever. As can be seen in the pictures, all the dishes were also presented exceptionally well. I would say IF and it is a big if, you have space I can truly recommend the limoncello cheesecake. Quite honestly it’s one of the creamiest beautifully flavoured cheesecakes I’ve had. In summary I would recommend this restaurant whole heartedly and will definitely return. Thank you all at La Pergola for a wonderful evening."

"We found this on our last night in the area, and it was the best food we ate by far. They were obviously fully booked so could only offer us a table for an hour but that wasn't a problem. We shared garlic bread and bruscetta to start and then had pizza, lasagne, and sea bass. All of them were delicious. I found the staff, although very polite and good, to be too attentive and that leaving glases/plates on tables for a short while, is better than removing then straight away. This may have just been because of the time conditions we were under. We would definitely go back again."

"Returning from an early concert in Málaga, YumFizz booked a last minute table at La Pérgola (easy booking online). We have been keen to visit since it's refurbishment into a beautiful yellow Amalfi inspired lemon yellow theme. Warmly welcomed by the lovely Joanna, we were taken straight to our table (the last one available as it was packed!). The Yum: Italian, reasonably priced and something for everyone. The amuse bouche of super light bread and olive oil was delicious whilst we waited for our food which didn't take long. Sharing two starters of warm cheesy garlic bread and aubergine parmesana warmed us up on the cold winter evening. Beautiful bowls of limoncello pasta, salmon tagliatelle and ravioli of pear and gorgonzola absolutely hit the spot, sprinkled with freshly grated parmesan. It was a light and easy dinner for us this evening so we refrained from ordering desserts but for sure will do next time. The Fizz: The wine list is concise and uncomplicated and the Italian house merlot served in some beautifully shaped wine glasses was just perfect. There is a nice cocktail list priced at a reasonable 12eur each too. The Rest: An absolutely perfect choice for a cosy comfortable and reasonably priced dinner. The service is efficient, perfectly paced, and the Amalfi inspired crockery and decor tops of the experience nicely. YumFizz rating is 10/10 (because it was exactly what we were looking for!)"
